2023: Aderibigbe Rescind Presidential Ambition; Cite Monetized Electoral Process; Urges Nigerians To Come Out Enmasse To Exercise Their Franchise

Presidential hopeful, John Akorede Aderibigbe has rescind his decision to vie for the 2023 Presidential Race.

In a Statement dated May 30th 2022, by his Media Aide, Akinwale Kasali, Aderibigbe said he rescind his Intention to run for Presidency based on principles and great humility, knowing full well that it is still a long walk ahead, and due to the obscenely monetized electoral process.

Aderibigbe said he remains resolute and determined to pilot the affairs of the nation for the betterment of the citizenry, but, after wide consultations with major stakeholders within the political, business and economy class both home and abroad, he decided to quash his ambition at this time to further familiarize with Nigerians, as he is not ready to play second fiddle, but change the narratives and aiming for the top seat.

“I decided to rescind and put an hold to my Presidential Ambition not because of fear nor intimidation, but to further prepare, familiarize and integrate within the political, economic and social class.

“I am not ready to play second fiddle to anyone, nor allude my allegiance to any godfatherism which has been the norm on our nascent democracy, but to take the mantle of leadership on merit and get the backing and support of Nigerians, irrespective of tribe, culture, norms, values and religious sentiment.

“I decided to go back to the drawing board and restrategize, with optimism of coming back in full force to take over the seat of power through economic innovations, ideas, human Capital development, Youth empowerments and development, and above all, giving the citizens the opportunity to enjoy the dividend of democracy”.

Aderibigbe further urged Nigerians as the election gathers momentum to remain optimistic for a progressive nation ahead.

He however call on the electorates to come out enmasse to cast their votes for the Candidates of their choice that they know his manifestos will address their yearnings and make them enjoy the dividend of democracy.

“Nigerians need to come out massively in exercising their franchise and not be induced monetarily nor materially, rather, they should vote for a Candidate that will change the fortunes of the nation economically and make the country gained back its lost respect among the comity of nations”, the statement reads.
