Asiwaju Bola Tinubu Campaign Organization has denied a report that the National Leader and leading Presidential aspirant of the All Progressive Party, APC, Asiwaju Bola Amed Tinubu has given an automatic ticket to Honorable James Abiodun Faleke to represent the good people of Ikeja Federal Constituency.
A statement signed by Bola Ahmed Tinubu Campaign Organization reads; Information reaching us to the effect that some elements within our party for ulterior and selfish reasons are peddling endorsements and conferment of automatic ticket without primaries in our fragile democracy by our National Leader and leading Presidential aspirant Asiwaju Bola Amed Tinubu.
We hereby categorically implore members of the public and party faithfuls that this purported endorsement is a false and calculated attempt to denigrate our leader, a democrat who stands by the rule of law and recognition of laid down processes to the emergence of candidates of political parties.
Asiwaju Bola Tinubu who is also expecting his emergence as the Candidate of our Party at the coming convention has been an advocate of free and fair primaries while opposing the use of consensus, is not a party to any unethical and fraudulent methods of obtaining Party tickets through the back door, flying day and night to meet delegates in all parts of the country.Party faithfuls, particularly in Lagos State are therefore enjoined to disregard such as self serving.
Recalled that days ago, social media was agog when news of Asiwaju’s endorsement and automatic ticket for Honorable James Faleke to represent Ikeja Federal constituency went viral, with the 3rd term Honorable at the Lower Chamber posing with the APC leader.
